MUTTON COCONUT FRY
- Mutton - 1/2 kg
- Coconut - 25 gm
- Onions - 100 gm (chopped)
- Tomatoes - 100 gm (chopped)
- Coriander powder - 40 gm
- Red chilli powder - 20 gm
- Ginger, garlic paste - 50 gm
- Green chillies - 2 (slit)
- Lemon juice - 1 tsp
- Coconut oil - 30 ml
- Tadka - mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, aniseeds, curry leaves
Direction
- Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, aniseeds and curry leaves.
- Then add onion saute till light brown.
- Now add ginger garlic paste and fry for a minute. Add tomato and saute.
- Add turmeric powder, coriander powder and red chilli powder, saute for a while.
- Add mutton pieces and fry till raw smell goes.
- Now add a cup of water and allow to boil.
- Cover and cook till mutton is tender. Now add coconut paste, garam masala powder and salt ; saute till it dries up.
- Add lemon juice and remove from fire. Mix well.
